BIKE FOR BIBLES

Experience Bike for Bibles 2025, a five-day road cycling adventure up to up to 600km long in Canberra. This multi-day road cycling event welcomes riders of all skill levels for an unforgettable journey. More than just a ride, Bike for Bibles is a fundraiser to support a Bible-based literacy project in Mozambique.

Arrive: Monday 6 th October (long weekend) for kick-off 6:30pm dinner and briefing.

Date: 7th to 11th October 2025

Location: All 5 days of riding will start and finish at Vision Church, 1 Lithgow St, Fyshwick ACT

Distance Options: Daily rides of varying distances, totaling up to 600km

Elevation Gain: Varies by stage, featuring rolling hills and scenic climbs

The Bike for Bibles ACT route takes cyclists through some of Canberra's most breathtaking landscapes. Here's a breakdown by day:

  • Tuesday 7th October. 'Northern Country', 138kms
  • Wednesday 8th October: 'Western Ranges,' 122kms
  • Thursday 9th October: 'Hills Around the Lake,' 91kms
  • Friday 10th October: 'NSW Excursion,' 121kms
  • Saturday 11th October: 'Southern Agony,' 105kms

Note that these are the daily kms for the A Team.The B Team will average 70-100kms per day, adding up to a total distance at least 400kms over 5 days.


$350 On-road costs OR $70/day

  • A Team: covering 120+kms most days
  • B Team: covering 70-100kms each day
  • Sleeping and Bathing: The ride's home base is Vision Church at 1 Lithgow Street Fyshwick, just 4km SE of Lake Burley Griffin. It has sleeping spaces, showers, and secure bike storage.
  • Meals: The Vision Church is also where all home-based meals are served (except some eat-out dinners) and where the nightly briefing sessions are held.
  • Laundry: There are no laundry facilities but we provide everything for hand-washing clothes.
  • Yoga: Daily Yoga sessions will enable warm up before each ride and winding down afterwards.
  • On-Course Support: Every group will have a leader as well as a support vehicle behind (or at call as needed). The support vehicle will carry a floor pump, water, fruit and snacks, as well as your “Day Bag” – for anything you may need on the ride (eg raincoat, extra clothing, spare parts). It can also transport you and your bike if you need to abort for any mechanical or personal reason.
