BLUE LINE RIDE
Location: NSW
Date: Sunday, August 30, 2026
The Blue Line Ride is a guided, non-competitive social ride that traces the now-famous coastal course of the UCI Road World Championships through the Illawarra region of New South Wales. Following the painted blue line that guided the world's best riders, it rolls down a spectacular stretch of coastline from Stanwell Park into Wollongong, taking in ocean views, cliff-hugging roads and the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge.
Designed for intermediate riders and open to the public, this is a relaxed, supported group ride rather than a race. Along the way, riders pass official legacy plaques marking key moments from the championships, connecting them to Wollongong's place in global cycling. The ride is part of the Ride Wollongong Festival of Cycling.
