With steep gradients and unpredictable weather, this event is a true endurance test. It’s a friendly ride for pros and beginners who have trained. The youngest rider to complete the Gentle Annie to date was 14 and the oldest 78!

The Gentle Annie Ride follows the rugged and remote Gentle Annie Road, offering some of the most breathtaking and punishing climbs in New Zealand. Riders will face:

  • High-speed descents requiring sharp technical skills
  • Spectacular scenery, including lush valleys, rolling farmland, and remote ridgelines
