The Harbour2Vine Classic returns in 2026 (dates TBC), offering cyclists a memorable journey from Newcastle's picturesque waterfront to the rolling vineyards of Hunter Valley. This signature charity ride supports the vital work of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service while providing participants with a perfectly balanced challenge through some of New South Wales' most scenic landscapes.

Organized by the Schwartz Family Company and Rydges Hotels, the event combines cycling achievement with genuine community impact. Each pedal stroke contributes to funding the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service's life-saving missions across the region.

92km Challenge: For ambitious cyclists seeking a comprehensive experience, this route combines the Classic 58km journey with an additional 34km loop through wine country. Departing Rydges Newcastle at 7:30am, riders will experience both urban and rural landscapes before enjoying a well-earned lunch at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley.

58km Classic Ride: The signature experience follows state roads from Newcastle's waterfront to the heart of wine country. This accessible yet rewarding route includes a catered rest stop at Peace Park Weston, making it perfect for regular cyclists looking for a balanced challenge.

34km Winery Loop: Ideal for newer cyclists or those preferring a more relaxed pace, this route starts and finishes at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley. The scenic loop takes riders through picturesque vineyards with a few engaging climbs to earn that celebratory glass at the finish line.
