MANFEILD 6 HOUR CYCLE CHALLENGE
The Manfeild 6 Hour Cycle Challenge brings high-speed endurance to the perfectly smooth tarmac of the Manfeild Circuit Chris Amon in Feilding. Unlike traditional road races, this event takes place entirely within the confines of a world-class motor racing circuit, offering a fast, traffic-free environment where riders can focus purely on their pace and strategy. Whether you are aiming to see how many laps you can clock solo or sharing the load with a team, the circuit provides a unique physical and mental challenge as the hours count down.
This event has established itself as a staple of the Manawatū cycling calendar, known for its inclusive atmosphere that welcomes everyone from elite racers to school teams. Beyond the competition, the ride serves a greater purpose, with the 2026 edition proudly supporting Arohanui Hospice. The combination of serious cycling and community fundraising has seen the event grow significantly over its history, often attracting over 300 participants from across New Zealand.
The format is straightforward but demanding: ride as many complete laps as possible within the six-hour window. Solo riders face a true test of grit and nutrition management, while teams utilise the dedicated transition zone to execute tactical rider swaps. With a neutralised start and a festive atmosphere in the pit garages, it is an ideal event for those looking to experience competitive cycling in a safe, controlled setting.
