The Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay stands as Australia's most inspiring team cycling event, uniting riders of all abilities in a journey that's raised over $20 million for healthcare since 1987. This unique relay format lets teams split the distance between riders, making an epic journey achievable for cyclists of varying experience levels while supporting crucial health services across the country.

Founded by Graham 'Woody' Woodrup in 1987, the Murray to Moyne continues his vision of combining cycling achievement with community support. The annual Graham Woodrup Memorial Award celebrates participants who demonstrate exceptional effort and inspiration, honoring Woody's remarkable legacy in Australian cycling.

Location: from Mildura or Echuca, finishing in Port Fairy, Victoria

Distance Options:

Night Riders: 520 km - The complete journey and traditional relay experience

Day Timers: 250-300 km (Saturday) + 90 km (Sunday) - Perfect for teams seeking a challenging yet manageable distance.

Sunday Striders: 90 km (Sunday only) - Ideal for newer teams or those building experience

Teams journey through Victoria's diverse landscape, from the Murray River's sun-baked banks to the Southern Ocean's shores at Port Fairy. The route traverses country towns, pastoral landscapes, and the Western District's rolling hills, with teams working together to maintain their relay pace through day and night.

  • Night Riders & Day Timers: $120 per person
  • Sunday Striders: $60 per person
  • Support crew registration required

Teams should plan their transport logistics early, particularly given the event coincides with Victorian school holidays.
