Ride the Wilderness is a Grade 2 mountain bike event on the iconic West Coast Wilderness Trail, one of New Zealand's Great Rides. Held each November, the event offers four race distances (21km, 59km, 95km, and 126km) all finishing in Greymouth at Hargreaves Park. The trail delivers an extraordinary mix of scenery and terrain: lakes, rivers, creeks, boardwalks, historic bridges, native forest, wetlands, reservoirs, and water races.
