The Turnip 2, billed as (van) Gogh Gravel, is the second running of Alleycats CC's Turnip gravel ride, landing in the Mary Valley near Gympie in August 2026. It carries the spirit of the first edition: no entry fee, all bikes welcome, and a just turn up and ride approach to a big day on Queensland gravel.

This is an unsanctioned, self-supported ride rather than a race. Alleycats describe their outings as non-events, built around good gravel, honest climbing and a finish line beer with the people who made it through. Come self-sufficient and ready for dust, hills and a route designed to look easier on paper than it rides.

Please note: the August 2026 ride date is still being finalised. The organiser has announced a new course based around Gympie and the Mary Valley for August 2026, with more to follow. The date, distance and start location shown below are indicative and will be confirmed closer to the event.
