Thredbo Gravity Series #2 Oakley Cruiser Crusher hits the mountain bike trails on Saturday 30 January 2027, bringing high-tempo downhill racing to the high country of Thredbo, New South Wales. Starting at the top of the Cruiser Chairlift, the course sends riders down the fast, linked sections of Paparazzi and Slayground before finishing at the base of the Cruiser Chairlift.

Serving as the second stop in the four-round Thredbo Gravity Series, the Cruiser Crusher presents a short, punchy physical test. The format focuses on accessibility and community racing, linking up-and-coming junior racers with experienced downhillers on a course that rewards corner carry and flat-out pedalling over extreme technical features. Competitors across all rounds accumulate points towards an overall series cash and prize pool valued at $50,000.

The course design forces riders into an all-out effort from the start gate. With minimal room for recovery, holding momentum through high-speed turns on Paparazzi and maintaining sprint speed along Slayground are essential for setting a competitive race time. Morning practice blocks allow riders to refine line choices before taking their single official timed run in the afternoon.

Hosted on the Traditional Lands of the Monaro and Ngarigo People, the event pairs structured, lift-accessed downhill timing with a relaxed mountain atmosphere. Following the final race runs, riders gather on the Pub Deck at Alpine Hotel for post-race debriefs and podium presentations.
