Thredbo Gravity Series #3 SRAM Supertrail Scramble takes on Australia’s longest dedicated mountain bike descent on Saturday 27 February 2027 in Thredbo, New South Wales. Dropping from the top of the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift, the course sends riders down the iconic Supertrail network, finishing at the Valley Terminal base area.

Serving as the third stop in the four-round Thredbo Gravity Series, the Supertrail Scramble introduces a high-speed physical challenge to the series. The format focuses on accessible, grassroots gravity racing, bringing junior racers and seasoned downhillers together on a course where corner carry, brake control, and sheer stamina dictate the clock. Every competitor accumulates points across the series, competing for a share of an overall cash and prize pool valued at $50,000.

The Supertrail descent forces riders to balance speed with fatigue management. Stretching over 4 kilometres with 600 metres of vertical elevation drop, the course demands continuous focus as high-speed berms give way to rocky compressions and flat-out pedal sprints. Morning practice blocks allow participants to learn lines and test braking points before taking their single official timed race run in the afternoon.

Hosted on the Traditional Lands of the Monaro and Ngarigo People, the event combines lift-accessed mountain bike timing with a relaxed community atmosphere. Once the timing transponders are returned, riders gather at the Keller Bar and Pub Deck for afternoon presentations, awards, and post-race banter.
