TOUR DE CURE

Location: ACT
Date: Thursday, March 12, 2026

Twenty years ago, a small group of cyclists set out to make a difference. That original Signature Tour sparked a movement that has since funded 232 world-class cancer breakthroughs, supported over 1,230 research projects, and provided 6,000+ nights of accommodation for rural families facing cancer. Now, in March 2026, you're invited to be part of the most epic celebration yet.

The Tour de Cure Signature Tour 2026 marks two decades of courage, community, and purpose-driven cycling. This isn't just a ride through some of Australia's most spectacular landscapes – from Canberra's parliamentary triangle, through Victoria's alpine country, across Bass Strait, and into Tasmania's wilderness. It's a life-changing journey where every pedal stroke funds groundbreaking research, every kilometre supports families in crisis, and every rider becomes part of a community united in the fight against cancer.

Whether you're tackling the full 1,408km challenge over 9 days, joining for the final Tasmanian stages, or supporting the crew that makes it all possible, you'll experience something far greater than cycling. You'll meet the researchers whose work you're funding, visit communities touched by Tour de Cure's impact, and inspire children across regional Australia to embrace healthy, active lives.

The 2026 Signature Tour traces an unforgettable path across three territories, each stage revealing new landscapes and deeper connections to the cause that drives us all.

Days 1-2: Canberra to the High Country – Roll out from Australia's capital through rolling countryside before the Snowy Mountains rise ahead. The route climbs through historic alpine country, where mountain air and sweeping vistas remind you why this journey matters.

Days 3-5: Victoria's Wilderness – Navigate Victoria's challenging terrain, where each climb earned brings you closer to the Bass Strait crossing. These stages test your resolve while building the bonds that make Tour de Cure's community so special.

Ferry Crossing: Geelong to Tasmania – Cross Bass Strait aboard the Spirit of Tasmania, trading saddle for sea as mainland gives way to island. This journey within the journey offers time to reflect, recover, and prepare for Tasmania's spectacular finale.

Days 6-9: Tasmania's Mountain Country – From Cradle Mountain's ancient wilderness to Launceston's Tamar Valley, through Swansea's coastal beauty to Hobart's historic waterfront, Tasmania delivers the tour's most memorable stages. The final climb into Hobart carries the weight of 20 years of impact and the promise of breakthroughs still to come.
