This is a professional-style stage race across New Zealand's South Island, guided by four-time Olympian and seven-time Tour de France veteran Julian Dean. This unique format lets you choose between racing for podium glory or riding for the pure enjoyment of conquering five stunning stages through the Southern Alps, all while supporting your chosen charity.

Since its inception, the Tour of New Zealand has raised over $2.2 million for vital causes, combining athletic achievement with meaningful community impact. The 2025 edition continues this legacy, welcoming 160 riders from around the globe for an unforgettable journey from coast to coast.

Stages:

  • Stage 1: 37km (Greymouth to Hokitika)
  • Stage 2: 107km (Ross to Franz Josef)
  • Stage 3: 98km (Fox Glacier to Haast)
  • Stage 4: 123km (Haast to Hawea, split into two sectors)
  • Stage 5: 49km (Wanaka to Crown Range summit)

Journey through New Zealand's most dramatic landscapes, from the wild West Coast to the majestic Southern Alps. The route features quiet roads passing glaciers, dramatic coastlines, pristine lakes, and challenging mountain passes. The final stage culminates with the iconic Crown Range climb, offering a fitting finale to this epic adventure.
