VIC MTB CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES ROUND 8 | BUXTON SERIES FINALE

Location: VIC
Date: Sunday, February 15, 2026

This is where champions are made. After seven rounds of racing across Victoria's finest XCO venues, the Victorian MTB Championship Series reaches its finale at Buxton Mountain Bike Park. Round 8 determines who claims the overall series championship titles, with months of consistent performance culminating in one final race through the flowing singletrack of the Black Range State Forest.

Following Saturday's State Championships at Eildon, Sunday's Buxton finale completes an epic championship weekend. Your best five results from all eight rounds decide the overall series champions, meaning every position matters as riders push for those crucial final points. Some arrive with unassailable leads, others need career-best performances, and still more are locked in tight battles where a single place could decide the championship.

Buxton delivers the perfect finale venue – flowing trails winding through towering eucalypts and dense fern gullies, with smooth climbs, fun descents, and plenty of berms keeping riders rolling. The well-designed network suits riders of most abilities, making this accessible championship racing where technique and consistency triumph over brute force alone.
