NORTHERN SYDNEY CYCLING CLUB

Discipline: Road

Racing Information

Northern Sydney Cycling Club (NSCC) offers a variety of racing opportunities for cyclists of all levels. Their primary event is the Beaumont Road Criterium, affectionately known as the “Beauie Worlds,” held on the third Sunday of each month at Beaumont Road, Mount Ku-ring-gai.

Training Rides

Northern Sydney Cycling Club offers a packed weekly schedule of social rides for all skill levels. Saturday rides include the fast-paced El Presidente, intermediate Le Rêve, and relaxed Guns N Roses, all departing from Hornsby. Sunday Funday is a social no-drop ride to Brooklyn, ideal for recovery and camaraderie. On Tuesdays, The Dash is a tempo evening ride to Brooklyn and back. Wednesdays feature Dawn Patrol, a longstanding fast group ride finishing in Manly. Thursday’s St Leonards Espresso (FOT) is a high-speed, early morning ride through the northern beaches, ending with breakfast in Crows Nest. These rides foster inclusiveness, challenge, and community.

Junior Development

Northern Sydney Cycling Club supports junior cyclists through a range of programs including dedicated junior categories in their Beaumont Road criterium races, skill-building school holiday bike camps for kids aged 8–12 (typically held at JJ Melbourne Hills Reserve), and opportunities to participate in events like the AusCycling Junior Track State Championships. These initiatives aim to develop young riders’ skills in a fun, safe, and structured environment.

Social Events

Northern Sydney Cycling Club hosts a variety of social events to build community, including the Annual Memorial Ride honouring late member Chris Williams, which also promotes mental health awareness. The club also runs school holiday bike camps for children aged 8–12 in Terrey Hills, focused on fun and skill development. Women’s social events are a key feature too, such as regular Sunday Funday rides to Brooklyn and special gatherings like the Women’s Inter-Club and Christmas rides. These events foster connection, inclusivity and engagement beyond competitive cycling.

Membership

Membership is available through AusCycling, with options for social, competitive, and junior riders.
