SYDNEY UNI VELO CLUB

Racing Information

Sydney Uni Velo Club (SUVelo) offers a dynamic calendar of events combining racing, training, and social connection. The club kicks off the year with a trip to the Tour Down Under, featuring group rides, meals, and a celebratory send-off dinner. Monthly criterium races at Heffron Park draw a strong field from across Sydney, while SUVelo also competes in the popular interclub “Battle of the Bridge” series. Members regularly race in major events like B2B, Fitz’s Challenge, Amy’s Gran Fondo, and the State Team Time Trial.

Training Rides

SUVelo offers a full weekly schedule of social rides, mostly starting at 6am from Centennial Park’s Woollahra Gates or Crows Nest on the North Shore. Rides include hill-focused training on Tuesdays, a fast-paced “Wednesday Whip” midweek, and a relaxed coffee ride every Friday. Saturdays feature the popular 7am cruise through the Eastern Suburbs and an early long haul ride that alternates north and south routes. Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays are rest days with no regular rides scheduled.

Social Events

Quarterly social drinks and a Christmas party are just two of the club's regular social events.

Membership

Membership is available through AusCycling, accommodating recreational and competitive cyclists.
