Racing Information
The club organises regular road races and time trials, encouraging members to participate in local competitive events.
Training Rides
Westside Cycle Club hosts three weekly social rides from Melbourne’s inner west. Sunday Socials (7:00am) are a relaxed, no-drop 47 km ride from Footscray to the Victoria St “Fish Hook” and back, averaging 28 kph and finishing at Baby Elephant Café. Wednesday’s “Spoke n Sprocket” ride (6:00am) leaves from Spotswood for a flat, no-drop loop to Altona Beach and back, followed by coffee nearby. Fridays feature the “Ronde de Maribyrnong” (6:00am), a punchier climbing ride from Footscray, with regrouping at the top of each climb and a fun polka dot keyring prize for best climber.
